for existing students only)
Handling placement role's email account in order to communicate with the eMasters
students as needed.
Answering any query that eMasters students and Office of Outreach Activities
(OOA) Team might have - The first point of contact (POC) between existing
eMasters student of his programme and the OOA (eMasters) Team.
Following up on the resume verification process during the placement session. The
information provided to you is confidential. Consequently, any student details shared
with you should remain undisclosed to other program participants.
Coordinating with the Industry Coordinator and Social Media Coordinator for the
programme
Keeping the different cohort students involved and train them for future roles as
DPOC, IC and SMC
Identify the students from different batches of the programme (including alumni) to fill
the positions of IC and SMC.
Industrial Coordinator (IC)
(Applicable for existing student and graduated students)
Assisting OOA (eMasters) Team in preparation of eMasters Brochure for
your programme.
Keeping up to date with the latest trends in the industry, knowing which companies
are aggressively hiring, having knowledge of reputed companies and the work
culture.
Informing OOA of any job opportunities relevant for the programme.
Helping OOA in identifying the most relevant profile for a job description from the
placement registered students.
Suggesting companies to tie-up with the OOA (eMasters) Team and assist
recruiters and OA office in providing seamless recruitment process.
Establishing and maintaining healthy relationships with potential employers.
The worksheet (URL) provided by OOA should be filled out when you come across a
job opportunity relevant to your programme or any other eMasters programme. This
worksheet would be reviewed by OOA on the 1st and 15th of each month. This ensures
active participation and the job opportunities reaching the students who could
potentially benefit from it.
Social Media Coordinator (SMC)
(Applicable for existing student and graduated students)
Keeping track of any job opportunities associated with the programme (by following
the relevant companies) that are advertised on social media. Informing OOA of such
job opportunities
Posting and sharing eye-catching relevant content on your social media platforms
regarding eMasters Degree Programme
Creating content for the programme for social media which OOA can post on its
social media handles
Helping to create a presence for eMasters Degree Programme in the industry circle.
Sharing relevant information and photos about your programme's recent updates on
social media and tag it with eMasters IIT Kanpur.

Staying in touch with the alumni through social media accounts and contact them if
and when necessary. OOA will share the available linkedIn account details of the
eMasters alumni (only after getting their consents) with the SMCs.
